1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using BetterDividends ("the app", "the service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. BetterDividends is operated by EHSOFTWARE LTD, a company registered in England and Wales.

2. The Service

BetterDividends is a personal portfolio tracking tool that lets you record your stock holdings, view dividend schedules, and project future income. The service is provided as-is and may change, expand, or be discontinued at our discretion.

3. Not Financial Advice

BetterDividends is an informational and tracking tool only. Nothing in the app constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Projections, growth rates, and forecasts are estimates based on historical data and may not reflect actual outcomes. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions. Consult a qualified professional before making any financial decisions.

4. Data Accuracy

Stock prices, dividend amounts, ex-dates, and pay dates are sourced from third parties (including Yahoo Finance and other public data providers) and may be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect. We do not guarantee the accuracy or timeliness of any data shown in the app. You should verify all financial information with your broker or the issuing company before acting on it.

5. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and any connected API keys (such as Trading 212 keys) confidential. You must be at least 16 years old to use the service. You agree to provide accurate information and to use the service only for lawful, personal purposes.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the service; attempt to access other users' data; use the service to transmit malware or illegal content; or resell or redistribute access to the service without our written permission.

7. Third-Party Connections

If you connect third-party services (for example, Trading 212) through an API key, you authorise BetterDividends to use that key solely to read data on your behalf for the purpose of importing your portfolio. You can revoke access at any time from your Trading 212 account or by disconnecting in the app.

8. Availability

We do our best to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, upgrades, or reasons outside our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BetterDividends and EHSOFTWARE LTD are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to investment losses, missed dividends, inaccurate data, or loss of access. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the service is to stop using it.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the Account tab in the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled exclusively by the courts of England and Wales.
